I grew up on a dairy farm in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania with seven other siblings. I've always had a broad interest in a lot of things--animals, gardening, the outdoors, science, reading, and photography, to name a few.
We were always a church-going family, so being a very young child and having a very sensitive conscience, I met the Lord early--at age 6--when I realized I needed Jesus. My mother brought me to the Lord in our farm kitchen.
I started as a volunteer at WTLR in the year 2000. It was not something I asked to do--I was pulled into it somewhat involuntarily after I met Doreen Crandell and I asked her if I could tour the station and watch her at work. At that time I was on a spiritual search to know God more intimately. I know it was really the Lord who brought me here and has done great things in my life through my service and relationships here.
I wondered if I would ever get married, and here is where I found my husband! I met Chaz the same year as my radio training, put him off for 7 years, the Lord showed me the light, and today I've been married to him for seven years and have a wonderful little toddler that fills both of us with joy.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Galatians 2:20 because God has shown me how to live through Him instead of in my own strength.
