I live in McAlisterville, Juniata County with my wife Diane. We have 2 children, Toby & Heather, who were both involved in track & field during their high school years at East Juniata. Toby currently lives in the Tampa Florida
area with his wife Hannah and is Assistant Track Coach for the University of South Florida. Heather currently lives in Seymour, Indiana with her husband Jeremy & two children, Dylan & MaKenna, and she is an RN. My wife and I enjoy attending Evendale Bible Church near Richfield. One of my joys during the summer months is swimming.
I love being part of radio and one of funniest things that happened to me years ago was on a Saturday morning at WQJU. I went to the restroom and locked the door and could not unlock it. I panicked, and my only recourse was to kick at the door until I broke the door jam. When I returned to the studio there was on-air silence and the phone was ringing. Guess who--it was the station owner wanting to know what happened!
I first asked the Lord into my heart while at home watching a Billy Graham crusade when I was around 10 years old. I recommitted my life in 1978, and despite my shortcomings, God has been very good and has richly blessed me and my family.
As I host Saturday Afternoon Gospel, I love the music, the message, the opportunity to share, and the uplift in spirit that I get from being a part of it.
My hope for my listeners is that they also get an uplift in spirit as well have the chance to sing along, clap their hands and be blessed by the message of Christ through the songs, and to be encouraged to continue the fight.
