Michael grew up in a preacher's home and has been involved in music and singing his whole life. As a kid, he sang gospel music with this siblings and carried that stage career into college as an actor and drama team member. As an adult, he is involved in worship at his church and loves public and motivational speaking as well as more mundane endeavors like hunting, four-wheeling and even skydiving.
Michael and his wife Lisa have 4 children ranging from 19 to 13 and just as involved in music and drama as Michael is. The whole crew loves history and the beach which allows for exciting and varied vacations (at least when they can find time to take them)! He speaks of his relationship with his parents and siblings fondly as many great memories (and even better stories) spring from his growing years (ask him about zip lines, motorcycle rides, spelunking, and swimming/water skiing in Pennsylvania's largest natural lake). He is very involved in ministry at church as well as community groups such as the Centre Region Pregnancy Resource Clinic and the 4th Fest.
Michael gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 5 and remembers being baptized by his dad. He is very aware of the positive influence his parents have had on his life because they encouraged him to imitate them as they imitated the Lord (II Cor 11:1). In fact, radio is in the Madeira blood line. Michael's dad had a radio program more than 40 years ago as the pastor of a local church in Northeast PA. Now his dad, mom and sister volunteer on air time on a Christian radio station owned and managed by one of his brothers and his other brother is a morning drive host on a radio talk show. All of the family know that importance of sharing the good news of the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Michael often ends his programs with a question that recognizes the importance of having a relationship with the Lord when he asks "is what you're living for worth Christ's dying for?"
