God is good all the time, and all the time . . . God is good! I grew up in State College in a God fearing, Bible believing, two parent family with two older brothers, one older sister, an Irish Setter named Shana, and a cat named Purina. At the tender age of just five, I realized my need for forgiveness and I asked Jesus to live in my heart and be my Savior.
God blessed my life, and though I lived for several years outside of His will for me, in 1993 I married God's wonderful and witty promise to me, Dan Witherite, who continues to make me laugh and bring me joy... even after all these years!
Thanks to the powerful "recruiting" of Doreen Crandell, I began volunteer announcing at WTLR (at 315 S. Atherton Street) in 1984, often filling the Saturday afternoon time slot. When the Saturday morning air slot opened up in 1988, I had to seriously pray about the opportunity as I was not very fond of southern gospel music at the time. Little did I know that God's joke was on me, as that southern gospel sound quickly grew on me and I learned to love the music, the groups, and Paul Heil! Now I don't understand why everybody doesn't love Homecoming Radio! I also learned to love working with my hands and inasmuch I am an electrician by trade since 1985, having started my own electrical contracting business in 1998.
Presently, God has blessed me with the privilege of being part of the board of directors for the State College Pregnancy Resource Clinic (PRC) since 2012, and it's been a great pleasure to watch God impact and save souls for His kingdom!
God is amazing! I love people and love to see how God changes lives through answered prayer!
