JACKSONVILLE, Pa.—The Emmanuel United Christ of Christ (UCC), in Jacksonville, Pennsylvania, will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of its church home, July 12-13, 2025. The two-day celebration of history, faith, family, and fellowship will feature the following activities:
SATURDAY, JULY 12th
· 4:15 p.m.: Join a local artist Annie Snyder reenactor in revisiting the Past 150 years of Emmanuel United Church of Christ’s building and its congregation.
· Following Presentation: Light refreshments, open house and exhibition of historical artifacts and photographs of Emmanuel UCC and the Jacksonville area. A highlight of Emmanuel UCC’s 150-year-old sanctuary is a large mural painted by noted Clinton County artist Annie M. Snyder (1852–1927).
· 6:00 p.m.: Old-Time Community Hymn Sing, followed by a Basket Raffle
SUNDAY, JULY 13th
· 10:30 a.m.: Sunday worship service, featuring special music by Wes and Missy Lomison and Kay Bossert, as well as a sermon by Pastor Cindy Killinger
· Noon: Old fashioned picnic and sundae bar, featuring a variety of sundae toppings
